Hack or bug??
I have noticed that sometimes when I am farming with other people, when we are all almost done the farming round I get logged out and lose all of my items and gold in my inventory. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if someone is hacking or if this is just a bug.
I dont download anything for guild wars, except the mandatory updates. Last edited by Ultimate Warrior; Dec 10, 2005 at 06:04 PM // 18:04.. |

Could very well be a connection bug...I salvaged a set of armor and got crap back (wanted my Major Vigor out of it)....After I salvaged it I got the dreaded error=7 and had to log back in....When I did, all my armor was back in my inventory (re-salvaged and got my rune). Now, If you are losing things that were in your inventory before you went farming, I'd be more concerned....still sounds like a bug, just a worse one. I personally have faith that hacking is unlikely (not impossible) in GW....but then, there will be milk and cookies by the tree again this year.

I have never heard of this before...
-What kind of 'Err' is it? -Does this happen often? Or after you farm? -Is it a specific place? Where? -How long has this been happening? I know I sound like A-net, but you have to tell us as much as you can for us to figure it out what it is. Or you can just ignore and get straight to the source. Guildwars.com |

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program?
Whats your internet connection speed/type? Thats an unusual problem, you lose everything you've gathered on that run? |

I've never had that problem, and it looks pretty serious if it's happened 5-6 times.

I myself have had a reset happen to me.
I was dye'n my armor in marhans and chat'n around; then it logged out; without any type of error OR message asking me to logout I logged back in and its as if I never dyed my armor, all the dye was there. but that has happened once, more than once would be an annoyance. I would say a server problem if anything, it reminds me of Battle.net when a Diablo 2 server would go down; "Realm Down" 'd character would be resest... playable later but would be was like you never played on it since you last saved. I got to lv 96 3 times on the same character, oh yeah .08 server crashes 3 times that day; yeah I was pissed but so was everyone else. Report this to Anet!
This could be serious but a question. Is your Guild Wars or Computer Laggy? |

I've had this happen to my once before. It was during a trade as well, upon completion the game crashed, I rebooted it and found the item traded back in my inventory. Never happed again after that, but reinstalled Guild Wars, just to be on the safe side. Most probably might be an issue with Anets servers.

Anet servers have been acting pretty weird recently.
Yesterday, I went out farming minos/gryphs with my w/mo. After a while, I noticed the experience point bar wasn't moving at all. So I opened the hero window and I could see that I was getting zero xp for killing stuff. And even more interesting, none of my adrenaline skills would recharge. And while I could pick up gold, the total in my inventory stayed exactly the same. Anyway, I can fight fine without adrenaline skills so I kept going. Farmed all the minos and gryphons and even most of the devourers -- just for the heck of it. When I warped back to town, all of a sudden I get credit for the 12,000 xp (and another skill point) and all the gold is in my inventory too. Weird. |

Most of this sounds like database transactions on Anet's servers getting lost.

I had something like this happen yesterday at Thirsty River! I had just got an expert salvage kit, then got in a group waiting to do the mission. Was waiting about 4mins... then i got logged out! Quit and restarted GW, and everyone was saying they had been logged out as well But my salvage kit had gone AND the money for it!!!
